Frequently Asked Questions
Are domains really unlimited?
Yes. Every plan includes unlimited domains at no extra cost. Add all of your sending domains, parked domains, and subdomains. There is no per-domain fee.
Do subdomains count as separate domains?
No. When you add a domain like example.com, Ray automatically covers all of its subdomains (mail.example.com, shop.example.com, etc.), even if those subdomains have their own DMARC policies. Subdomain monitoring, DMARC report processing, and alerting are all included with the parent domain at no extra cost.
What counts as email volume?
Volume is the total number of messages across all your domains where the DMARC evaluation result is "pass." Spoofed messages and misconfigured senders don't count against your limit, so you only pay for the legitimate email you're actually sending.
What happens if I exceed my included volume?
Your plan upgrades automatically to the next tier, prorated for the rest of your billing period. We'll notify you when it happens. We never stop processing your reports or drop data.
What's the Personal plan?
A $10/mo plan for individuals monitoring personal domains with low volume (up to 500 messages/month). It includes the same features as every other plan. Contact us to get started.
Can I upgrade or downgrade?
Your plan adjusts automatically based on your actual email volume. Upgrades happen mid-month if you exceed your tier's limit (prorated for the remaining days). Downgrades happen at the start of the next month if your previous month's volume was below your current tier. You can also manually change your plan at any time through the billing portal.
What is the MCP server?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) lets AI assistants like Claude query your Ray data directly. Ask questions like "which of my domains are failing DMARC?" instead of navigating a dashboard. The MCP server is open source and available at every tier.
Can I try Ray before signing up?
